FOX 5 GOOD DAY ATLANTA GIVEAWAY RULES
Who Can Enter
- 1. Entrants must be legal Georgia residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, and have lawful access to the method of entry set forth in these rules.
- 2. Employees of New World Communications of Atlanta, Inc., owner of television station WAGA FOX 5 (collectively, “Sponsor”), their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family and household members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents and step-parents, siblings and step-siblings, and children and stepchildren. The term “household members” refers to people who share the same residence at least three (3) months out of the year. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Giveaway Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Giveaway. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
How To Enter
- 3. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited. All federal, state, and local regulations apply. Only one (1) entry per e-mail address, per person per day, regardless of how many email addresses a person may have or use. The giveaway begins at 5:00AM local time on Monday, February 2, 2026 and all entries must be received by 8:00AM local time on Friday, February 27, 2026 (the “Giveaway Period”). The Sponsor’s computer is the official time keeping device for this contest. An individual, household, and/or immediate family may win only one (1) time during this Giveaway Period.
- 4. To enter, watch “Good Day Atlanta” (the “Program”) on FOX 5, weekdays from 5:00AM to 8:00AM and look for the code word of that day that will appear at least one (1) time on screen during the Program. One (1) code word will be broadcast at least once, but maybe only once and the number of times a code word is broadcast can and may vary from day to day during the Giveaway Period, between 5:00AM and 8:00AM each weekday in the Giveaway Period, and will change and be a different word each weekday of the Giveaway Period. Then go to campaign.aptivada.com/contest/1851342, Fox5atlanta.com/contests and follow all instructions to fully complete the online entry, including submitting a valid code word, correctly spelled. Each code word is valid for entry until 8:00AM on the same weekday the code word is broadcast. Code words entered after 8:00 AM on any given day will be deemed not entered for purposes of this Contest. If, for any reason, the Program is not telecast on one or more days during the Giveaway Period, then those days will be eliminated from the Giveaway Period. Incomplete, late, incorrect, and/or misspelled entry forms and/or code words will be deemed not entered for purposes of this Giveaway. To be entered into the Giveaway each day it is necessary to enter the new code word each day the word is broadcast.
- 5. Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner(s) or other giveaway information by Sponsor or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the giveaway or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. All entry materials may be maintained as part of WAGA FOX 5’s giveaway records. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE GIVEAWAY IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the giveaway if it becomes technically or otherwise corrupted. Any attempt by any participant to submit more than one (1) entry by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void all entries and that participant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
- 6. Around or after 12:00 PM each Friday during the giveaway, 2/6/26, 2/13/26, 2/20/26, 2/27/26, One (1) winner will be selected by random drawing from among all valid entries that were received that week (Monday through Friday) by 8:00AM on each day. Entries do not remain eligible for the following week’s drawings. It is necessary to enter each week of the Giveaway Period in order to be eligible for the drawing on that week’s random drawing held on Friday.
- 7. Each of the four (4) winners will each receive one (1) $500 Gift Card. The approximate retail value of each prize is Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).
- 8. The winners will be notified by e-mail and/or phone on or about, 1/9/26, 1/16/26, 1/23/26, 1/30/26, and may be awarded the prize, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Contest Rules. The winners must respond to prize notification within 14 days, and the winners will be required to complete, sign and return a Certification of Eligibility and Release and claim the prize in the manner and within the time period communicated by Sponsor or they will be disqualified and will have forfeited the prize. If a winner cannot be reached, does not respond to prize notification, or does not return the signed and completed Certification of Eligibility and Release and claim the prize within the designated time period given by the Station, no prize will be awarded to the selected Winner. The Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, select an alternate winner in compliance with these Contest Rules.
- 9. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winner(s). The winner(s) cannot assign or transfer prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
- 10. The winner(s) is responsible for all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the value of the prizes set forth in these rules.
- 11. Only one prize will be awarded per household. Individuals are eligible to win only one prize within any 60-day period, regardless of the number of giveaways entered.
